Keg couplers are the keys that unlock the beer goodness from the kegs. The keg lids have a specific ball lock valve system that seals the keg. Not only does this sealing make it leak proof, it also keeps the beer fresh and all its flavours and aromas intact.

There are 6 major commercial keg couplers around the world and each of them open only one of its own. An S system keg coupler can only be used to tap a keg with S type of valve. S system is the most widely used valve in the Europe. Hence it is also called the European Sankey.

Tapping a keg with a coupler means that the keg valve is opened – including the gas in and beer out ports. So this connection needs to be tight and secure. This Sankey Bottom Seal Washer is a small part that plays a big role. This flexible rubber O-ring seals the coupler against the keg valve and makes it leak proof.
This is a replacement part for old and worn out washers as well.
