A long narrow tube runs along the center of every keg. This tube is also called the spear. This entire setup is responsible for keeping the keg sealed and leak free until you tap it with a coupler of the same type.
This is an Extracted Tube D Type for 20 ltr Slim keg.
The pressurized gas sent into the keg pushes the beer through this tube and into the beer hose attached to the coupler.
Slim kegs are popular because they occupy lesser space than the traditional fat keg but are of course, taller.
